Day 182-Halfway!

We are halfway through the year!

Not if only I were halfway through the manuscript, which I feel like I've been working on for a year.

Day 180-Straight

My flat iron stopped working this last weekend, and since I am shamefully dependent on my flat iron, I had to go get a new one. This is a "wet to straight" flat iron, meaning I can skip the drying step of my getting ready routine. It works pretty well, though it's not that much faster.

Day 179-Canary

So I'd been thinking for about a month now about getting one of these:

Cute little guy, huh? I even had a name picked out.

I've never been a pet owner before, so I did some research about buying, and caring for a canary. And decided that I may never become a pet owner. It's too much work for something that isn't a human! And I'm gone all day. And I'd probably just (unintentionally) kill it in three months anyway.

Guess I can always try keeping a plant alive for longer than a month . . .

Day 178-Pockets!

I was sitting in church yesterday, when I looked down at my dress. The side seam seemed to be coming undone, so I put my finger near the hole and then I realized something. It wasn't a hole! It was a pocket! My dress has pockets! I have worn this dress several times without noticing this, and it was basically the best discovery ever because it is my belief that all skirts/dresses should have pockets.

Day 177-Baby Shower

I hosted a baby shower for my friend, Maddie today!
